Sales Development Manager

Overview

The Sales Development Manager is responsible for the growth of the existing SDR and MDR teams. Help grow the team while keeping up with industry trends and best practices. Provide coaching, support, and motivation to help individual team members meet their sales objectives. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the SDR and MDR teams.
  • Drive quota achievement of sales team by delivering qualified leads and sales qualified opportunities with decision makers in top global Enterprise accounts.
  • Build a sales development framework that follows that convert into pipeline.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations on marketing efforts from real world interactions with prospects and customers.
  • Work closely with RSM and VP’s to reach regional goals.
  • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and successfully build knowledge and insight into enterprise customer’s, strategic directions and needs.
  • Ensure SDRs maximize phone time and results through the use of territory management plans that include: pre-call planning, corporate goals and metrics, and customized scripts.
  • Drive participation in Marketing Evolution events and leverage participation to build lead pipeline.
  • Keep up with industry trends and best practices, including utilization of new technology and web resources.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years’ experience in Sales Development, Inside Sales or Sales in the Enterprise Software space, preferably in SaaS
  • 3+ years of MDR/ SDR people management experience
  • Deep experience with Salesforce.com
  • Understanding and experience in SaaS
  • Able to work in a complex, changing environment and interact with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with MDR and SDR enablement/ training/ mentoring of new hires
  • Great communication skills (positive and energetic, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills, team-player, working with other MDRs, SDRs and field reps, sales management, external lead-gen agencies and marketing)
  • Experience in Social Selling and Brand Building
