Position Overview

We are looking for high-energy, high-performing and outgoing individuals to join our growing sales development team. The successful candidate will have the ability of conducting deep discovery over the phone across various levels and functions within an organization. The candidate should be eager to advance within the Marketing Evolution organization by demonstrating an ability to learn quickly, and adapt to a rapidly growing and changing MarTech environment.

Description and Key Responsibilities

The Sales Development Representative Intern is the first point of contact for prospects, and therefore requires a strong business acumen, and ability to develop opportunities over the phone. As the front line of the sales organization, your role will be challenging, and this role will give you the tools to position Marketing Evolution’s value in the marketplace, and prepare you well for advancement within the Marketing Evolution organization.

  • Research, identify, and qualify prospects within companies spending millions of dollars on advertising media
  • Partner with the Field Sales team to develop strategies for gaining access to key influencers and decision makers inside targeted accounts
  • Heavy outbound phone and email prospecting of target accounts is expected
  • Other outbound marketing across multiple touch points, online and offline
  • Maintain communication with prospects through educational email and phone touch points to continue their understanding of Marketing Evolution
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of conversations/notes in Salesforce

Characteristics

We’re looking for intelligent, highly-motivated individuals, who are able to succeed in a fast-moving company and industry. The candidate must be a self-starter who can see the goal and execute against it.

  • Ideal candidate will have classroom or previous experience with sales development
  • Must be motivated, personable, articulate, and most importantly, not afraid to pick up the phone and call on marketing executives and managers
  • Working knowledge of marketing/advertising industry and technology is a plus
